Today at Apple
We don’t need more willpower or discipline.
We need better systems.
This was the core message behind my first Today at Apple workshop. I spoke about building habits and systems to support personal wellbeing, using the tools we already carry with us.
It wasn’t a workshop about the latest tech or app features.
It was about awareness. How we start our day. How we take breaks. How we rest. How we remind ourselves of what matters – before the noise creeps in.
We explored tools like Focus modes, the Mindfulness app, reminders, widgets, and more. Not as productivity hacks, but as gentle nudges toward the kind of lives we want to lead.
💡 Here’s one of the tools I shared during the session, and one I’d recommend trying out (it’s a great way to outsmart distractions):
Set up a Focus mode: Settings > Focus > Create your own Focus or customise an existing one.
I have a ‘Deep Work’ mode that kicks in during the week, and it helps me block out distractions from my phone without having to rely on my willpower alone. My productivity hits a different level when it’s on!
It’s a small shift. But these small shifts shape our days. And over time, our lives.
I love how Apple uses their stores not just to showcase technology, but to create space for learning and sharing! It was such an honour being part of this. Thank you to the Apple team for having me.
To everyone who joined: thank you for coming, asking questions, and staying back to chat!
